This residence in East Hampton, NY will be built as a show home and prototype to demonstrate the capabilities of Blueprint Robotics—a factory located in Baltimore, MD where they have developed a specialized system for manufacturing ultra-precise prefabricated building components utilizing CNC tooling machines. Prefabricated floor, wall, and roof panels will be erected on the site-built foundation over two days. Meanwhile, bathrooms and other core volumes will be prefabricated as self-contained, volumetric mini-modules called “pods”, which are nested into the prefab floor panels on-site. The L-shaped house cradles the hilltop site, surrounded by woods.
