The Three bedroom, 3,054 square foot courtyard house includes a lap pool, office, and media room/library. Taking full advantage of Los Angeles’ enviable climate and the possibilities of indoor/outdoor habitation, the house employs an outdoor fire place and fully retractable doors effortlessly linking the interior to the exterior spaces. Sensitive to the client’s need to create a sense of division between work and domestic life, a separate entrance has been designed for the office.
The Venice Beach House is an initiative undertaken by a resident film executive and architecture aficionado pairing with her husband who is working as the contractor for this project. The couple has used this as an opportunity to introduce prefab homes into the local area, and have prospective plans to build additional speculative prefab homes.
