Joseph Tanney recently lectured at Richmond’s Virginia Center for Architecture. RES4′s current preoccupation of the modern modular prefab took center stage. Joseph also presented RES4′s recent projects on the boards, in construction and completed. The lecture was given in conjunction with the Center’s exhibition of “Some Assembly Required: Contemporary Prefabricated Houses” on view through September 30th. Previously exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angles Some Assembly Required Is curated by the Walker Art Center.

SILVERLAKE TWINS | PROJECT UPDATE
The Silverlake Twins located in Los Angeles, CA, is a modification of the stacked bar typology in order to accommodate the steep slope of the site. The 2,374 sf panelized prefab ‘twin’ homes are situated on the top of a hill, taking advantage of the Los Angeles view in the distance.
