Project Description:


The Brown Box is a two-story loft box typology located in Saugerties, NY. This 2,068 sf plan allows a comfortable living space and a guest bedroom on the ground floor and a 400 sf art studio and master bedroom on the second floor affording views of the Hudson River. Built to be efficiently green, the house uses a geothermal air heating and cooling system allowing energy conservation to be reaped during all seasons. The exterior is composed of a dark brown corrugated metal and clear cedar siding blending harmoniously with the rural suburban landscape.
